Mein lieber Hans:
Eben sehe ich meine Korrespondenz durch und sehe dass ich auf meinen letzten Brief an Dich noch keine Antwort habe.
Ich hoffe es geht Dir weiter gut und Du bist noch immer am alten Ort. Bitte vergiss nicht zu antworten, an obige Adresse, wenn auch nur paar Zeilen, wir wollten nicht zu viel den alten Kontakt verlieren. Nach diesem Krieg können wir sicher irgendwo zusammenkommen, so wie es jetzt aussieht werde ich dann zurück nach Europa kommen und die dortige Filiale der Firma übernehmen. Also auf Wiedersehen gesund und zufrieden!

I hope that you are well and are still in the same place. Please don’t forget to reply to this address, even if only a couple of sentences, we shouldn’t lose too much contact with people. After this war we can definitely meet up somewhere, the way it is looking at the moment I will be coming back to Europe to take over the branches of the company there. So, until we see each other again, healthy and happy!
