A „Náci és nyilas rémtettek kivizsgálására alakult bizottság” elnöke
Jegyzőkönyv
Felvétetett Budapesten, 1945. évi április hó 9-én a „Náci és nyilas rémtettek kivizsgálására alakult bizottság” titkári hivatalában.
Tárgy: dr. Káldor Illés banktisztviselő budapesti /XII. Márvány u. 27./ előadja édesanyjának ö. Klein Ignácnénak a budai orthodox zsidó hitközség szeretetházában /Alma u. 2. és Városmajor u. 60./ történt meggyilkolását, valamint az ekkor történt tömeggyilkosságot.
Jelen vannak alulírottak.
A fentebb megjelölt szeretetházban volt elhelyezve az én édesanyám özv. Klein Ignácné, 84 éves magánzónő, akiről utólag tudtam meg azt a szomorú elmúlást, ami sorsául jutott. Eljártam és kinyomoztam a következőket:
Folyó évi január 19-én este 9 órakor egy nyilas csoport jelent meg a fenti intézet épületében igazoltatás ürügye alatt. Lekergették az áldozatokat az utcára, ill. akik menni nem tudtak, azokat levitették, s a Szamos u. sarkán agyonlőtték. Ezután petróleummal leöntötték az áldozatokat és felgyújtották, néhány holttest /2/ részben hiányosan elégett, de a többi nem. Ilyen állapotban hagyták ott a holttesteket. Ott feküdtek ezek 16 napon keresztül a gyilkosság színhelyén, sárban, hóban, majd február hó 4-én 2 ember intézkedett az eltemettetésük iránt. A kivégzés színhelyéhez közel gödröt ástak és közös sírba tették őket, megjelölvén egy táblával, „tömegsír” felírással. Közvetlen közelében ló-hullák vannak elásva, szintén táblával megjelölve „lótetemek” felirattal. Tegnap jártam a helyszínen, s a jelző táblát eldobva találtam, mire ezt jelentettem a közelben lakó Hevesi nevű házfelügyelőnek, aki visszahelyezte és megígérte, hogy megerősíti azt.
Ez a Hevesi nevű házfelügyelő, t.i. abban a házban lakik, mely előtt a kivégzés történt, nevezetesen a Szamos u. és a Városmajor u. sarkán álló házban, s magáról a szomorú esetről közvetlen tapasztalat alapján tud felvilágosítást adni. Ugyancsak ő volt az, fentebb említve volt, aki február hó 4-én gondoskodott az áldozatok elföldeléséről. Ebben részt vett egy Jakó nevű gyógyszerész, aki szintén abban a házban lakott, mint menekült. Időközben visszatért Ceglédre, tehát szükség esetén ott található.
A már említett Hevesi nevű házfelügyelő az áldozatok közül 8 személynek a nevét is tudja. E tekintetben, ill. az áldozatok kilétéről bizonyára a legjobb információval szolgálhat egy Jaksa nevű egyén, aki a szóban lévő Szeretetháznak alkalmazottja volt, s mint ilyen a kivégzés alkalmával lekísérte az áldozatokat az épületből a gyilkosság színhelyére.
E tekintetben ugyancsak felvilágosítást adhat egy orvosnő, aki jelenleg az intézmény épületében tartózkodik, Alma u. 2. szám alatt. Nevét nem tudom.
Tudomásom szerint ennél az intézménynél az áldozatok száma 24, köztük 2 gyerek, 8-14 évesek.
A kivégzés, ill. a lövések nyomai ma is láthatók a ház falán, amely előtt a kivégzés történt, vagyis ahol az említett Hevesi házfelügyelő lakik.

It was recorded in Budapest on April 9, 1945, in the secretariat of the “Commission for the Investigation of Nazi and Arrow Cross Atrocities”.
Subject: dr. Illés Káldor bank officer from Budapest /XII. [district] Márvány s[treet]. 27/

Presenting the murder of his mother in the nursing home of the orthodox Jewish community of Buda /Alma s[treet]. 2. And Városmajor s[treet.] 60./, as well as the mass murder happened at that time.
We, the undersigned are present.
My mother, wid[owed] Mrs. Ignác Klein, 84 years old woman of independent means, was placed in the above-mentioned nursing home, of who’s sad passing away which reached her faith, I found out later. I took steps and traced the followings:
9 PM at night on 19th of January, current year, with the pretext for identity checks, an Arrow Cross group appeared in the building of the above-mentioned institute. They chased down the victims to the street, or they took down those who were unable to walk, and they shoot them dead at the corner of the Szamos s[treet]. Thereafter they spilled the victims with petroleum and set them on fire, some partly, incompletely burned down, but not the others. They left the dead bodies in such a state. These were lying on the spot of the murder for 16 days in mud and snow, then on the 4th of February 2 men arranged for their burial. They dug a pit near the site of the execution and put them into a common grave, marked it with a board with an inscription “Mass grave”. There are horse-corpses buried in its close proximity, marked as well with a board with an inscription “Horse carcasses”. I’ve been at the spot yesterday, and I found the sign-board thrown away, by the time I notified the janitor called Hevesi, who is living nearby, who thereafter placed it back and promised to strengthen it.
This janitor named Hevesi, viz. lives in that house, in front of which the execution happened, namely in the house standing at the corner of the Maros s[treet]. and the Városmajor s[treet], and he can inform about the sad incident based on direct experience. He was also the one, as it was mentioned above, who took care of the victims’ inhumation on the 4th of February. In this act participated a pharmacist, named Jakó, who was living in that house as a refugee. The aforementioned janitor named Hevesi, also knows the name of 8 persons from the victims. In this regard, and about the identity of the victims certainly the best information could be provided by a person called Jaksa, who was an employee of the related nursing house, and so on the occasion of the execution he escorted the victims from the building down to the scene of the murder.
In this regard a female physician can give information as well, who is currently in the building of the institution in Alma s[treet]. Nr.2. I don’t know her name.
As far as I know in this institution the number of the victims is 24, including 2 children, 8-14 years old.
The traces of the execution and the gunshots can still be seen at the wall of the house, in front of which the execution happened, so where the mentioned janitor Havasi lives.
